At the turn of the 20th century when pocket watches were still the most commonly used timepiece Ebel had the foresight to launch their range of wrist watches. In 1914 Ebel won the gold medal in Bent at the national exhibition for their patented ring watch. In 1929 Blum’s son, Charles-Eugène Blum, joined the company and they presented their extended collection at the first ever Basel watch and jewellery fair, the fair has since come to be known as “BaselWorld” the premier watch and jewellery exhibition, where jewellers across the globe decend on Basel for a few days every year.
During the second world war Ebel was utlized by the British Royal Air Force (the RAF) and was used between 1939-1945. Ebel has become a name synonymous with Luxury and very high quality.
